Questions
How does a horoscope by date of birth work?
Your date of birth gives your rashi, the sign the Moon was in when you were born. Each day is then read from where the Moon is now, counted from your rashi: the house it is in, whether it is your Chandrashtama, and the tara of the day for your birth nakshatra.
Do I need my birth time?
Usually not. The Moon stays in one sign for about two and a quarter days, so most dates give one rashi. If the Moon changed sign on your birth day, the page tells you and asks for the time.
Is this different from my Sun sign horoscope?
Yes. Magazine horoscopes read the Sun sign. A Vedic daily horoscope reads the Moon sign, because the Moon moves fast and sets the tone of each day. Your Moon sign is often not your Sun sign.
Can I get a daily horoscope for my own chart?
Yes. With a complete reading you also get your own daily horoscope in your account: your birth star's tara through the day, your running dasha with a note before it changes, every planet on your own chart, and the best hours in your city.
