Your own day, not just your rashi's
A rashi reading is shared by everyone with the same Moon sign. Your complete reading is written for your own birth chart, and with it you get your own daily horoscope in your account, every day:
- Your birth star's tara through the day, and how each part of the day reads for you
- Your running dasha, and a note before each period changes
- Every planet on your own chart, with its strength in your chart
- Sade Sati and dhaiya dates for you, and the best hours of the day in your city

How today's rashifal is worked out
Which rashi should I read: Moon sign or Sun sign?
Your rashi is the sign the Moon was in when you were born. Daily results are counted from it, because the Moon moves through a sign in about two and a quarter days and sets the tone of each day. The Sun sign printed in magazines is a different thing, and in the sidereal zodiac it is often a sign earlier as well.
What is Chandrashtama?
Chandrashtama is the time when the Moon passes through the 8th sign from your rashi. It lasts about two and a quarter days and comes round roughly every 27 days. It is kept as a time to avoid new starts, big decisions and disputes, and to finish what is already in hand.
What is tara bala?
Tara bala counts from your birth nakshatra to the day's nakshatra. The count names one of nine taras, from Janma to Parama Mitra, and each gives results like its name: Sampat (wealth) and Mitra (friend) are good, Vipat (obstacles) and Vadha are hard. Further from your birth star, in the second and third rounds of nine, the hard taras lose most of their force.
Why does my rashi's day change in the middle of the day?
The Moon changes sign every two days or so, and nakshatra about once a day. When it moves during the day, the second part of your day reads differently, so each rashi page gives the exact time.
